The unexpected genesis of Moscku Studio
In the vibrant urban city of Bilbao, Anthony, a Spanish photographer with Ecuadorian roots and digital marketing specialist, and Elizaveta, a Russian model fashion designer, intertwined their destinies online, discovering shared affinities in their love for art and expression.
It all stemmed from the evident need for a space dedicated to larger artistic projects within the cultural spectrum that Bilbao offers. “When I was working here as a freelance photographer, I realized that there really aren’t spaces like this where you can develop larger projects,” Anthony reflects.
Both recognized the urgency of providing a creative home for local artistic talents, preventing them from seeking opportunities outside the city. “Anthony proposed to me to open a studio focused on larger projects, and that resonated with my passion for fashion,” reveals Elizaveta, pointing out the moment when the seed of Moscku Studio was planted.
Today, Moscku Studio offers a wide variety of services for the fashion industry (although it also ventures into other industries), from polaroids and model advice to large-scale commercial productions and event coverage with press credentials, as well as social media content creation.

A space like no other
The idea of creating a unique space to materialize large-scale photographic and audiovisual projects took shape when they discovered an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Bilbao, with incredible potential. “It was an abandoned warehouse that needed a lot of work but had the essence of what I was looking for,” Elizaveta reflects.
During the arduous remodeling task, they found Chispa and Bizco, two abandoned cats who are now part of the family and the team, and whom clients adore. “They say our cats give them the peace they need during their breaks on long shooting days, and they have even been used for photoshoots,” adds Elizaveta proudly.
What struck them most about the place was the spaciousness, which allowed them to incorporate cranes and establish a clear separation between projects. “The height of the place allowed me to visualize the number of projects we could attract, as there aren't many spaces with this characteristic for large-scale recordings,” comments Anthony.
Additionally, this space allowed them to separate the working area from their offices, creating harmony between privacy and proximity, providing their clients with a unique experience. “Clients love the place,” they both point out.

The challenges of entrepreneurship
Embarking on this major project, Anthony and Elizaveta faced emotional and practical challenges. “Devoting all your energy to this, seeking financial support, and focusing all your time on it was a challenge. Investing so much requires a lot of sacrifice,” Elizaveta shares her emotional experience.
On the other hand, Anthony highlights the technical and time management challenges, “Building the studio presented unexpected obstacles, such as the difficulty of cyclorama, and the time it takes to set up a business is enormous, which can affect your personal relationships.”
As they faced each challenge, Anthony and Elizaveta clung to their vision. “The path of entrepreneurship can be difficult, but being able to do what we are passionate about makes it worthwhile,” concludes the designer.
After these words, and with pride, Anthony emphasizes the fundamental role of Elizaveta to the project. “As a co-founder of Moscku Studio, she plays an integral role, from operational management to social media content creation. With experience in fashion and social media, her warm approach ensures memorable experiences for our clients, while her creativity drives the brand's digital presence.”

One of the challenges they encountered was during the website creation process, “We couldn't find a plugin or booking management software that suited our needs, as most are focused on specific sectors, until we came across Vev.”
“Unlike other booking management programs, with Vev, everything was easy, fast, and practical. In less than two hours, we had the link to our Vev page for free, which we inserted on our website and social networks, and everything worked smoothly from the start,” they add.

Moscku Studio's growth has been significantly driven from the beginning by the power of social media, especially Instagram. Anthony comments, “Even without having an official name, we were already receiving clients through Instagram.”
His experience in digital marketing played a key role in finding the right formula for customer loyalty and acquisition. Recognizing that “it's not the same to have followers as it is to convert them into customers,” he spent time studying his market and understanding how to effectively use social ads.
This, along with Elizaveta's ability for content creation and social media management, has allowed them to not only increase their follower base but also to convert them into loyal customers.
“We've noticed exponential growth in the last two months after investing in social media,” says Anthony.
Looking to the future
As Moscku Studio continues its upward trajectory, Anthony and Elizaveta have their sights set on the future. With plans to improve their facilities, expand the team, increase their international reach, and cultivate strong relationships with a diverse clientele, Moscku Studio promises to continue innovating in the world of photography and audiovisual production while maintaining its closeness and warmth.
“We would like to have a solid team that allows us to rest a little more and focus on improving our entire infrastructure to provide better service to our clients,” they both share.
